On Thursday March 7, IPS SA Business Manager Susan Lee co-facilitated workshops for Adelaide City Council's Public Art forum, with Becky Hirst from Becky Hirst Consulting.
The workshops explored a panel discussion with leading international public arts and culture expert Lynne Halfpenny, with is the Director of Culture at the City of Edinburgh, Scotland. Edinburgh Fringe is as highly regarded as Adelaide's Fringe Festival.
“With the Adelaide Fringe Festival in full swing, now is the perfect time to set the vision for the role of public art in community spaces to challenge, offend, question, explore and reveal the norms and the unseen,” Susan said.
“The public art discussion paper could be something your town might want to think about – if so, IPS would be glad to help.”
