IPS Queensland Business Manager Scott Anderson and IPS Project Manager Raelene Talbot went as far north as it’s possible to go in Australia in November.
Scott and Raelene spent a week in the Northern Peninsular Area of Cape York, carrying out community stakeholders consultations with mob from the five communities of Bamaga, Seisia, Injinoo, New Mapoon and Umagico, after spending the previous week visiting the Western Cape, Weipa, Napranum, Mapoon and Aurukun communities.
The third week of community consultations will take them out to the Gulf of Carpentaria, visiting Mt Isa, Doomadgee and Normanton in early December. The consultations were part of the review of the Department of Transport and Main Roads Indigenous Driver Licensing Program.
