IPS Director Kristal Kinsela has again been recognised for her inspirational work to strengthen Aboriginal businesses across Australia.
Kristal was awarded the Supply Nation Supplier Diversity Advocate of the Year at a glittering ceremony at Star City Casino, Pyrmont in Sydney on Thursday night (May 4).
The award is public recognition of the inspiring work driving supplier diversity within Australia. Sponsored by Westpac, the award celebrates the achievements of a person who has driven supplier diversity growth and development within their organisation and / or the Indigenous Business Sector.

Kristal was recognised for leading by example as a champion of supplier diversity, and her active and consistent work and passion to develop and strengthen networks to support supplier diversity.
It is Kristal’s second major award in as many months. Last month, Kristal was awarded the 2017 Aboriginal Woman of the Year Award for her work in education and training, organisational and workforce development, and supplier diversity working across government, corporate and not-for-profit sectors.
Speaking after Thursday’s gala ceremony, Kristal said receiving the award was a great honour and a proud moment.
“This award means a lot to me,” Kristal said.
“It’s recognition of the advocacy work, and the role I’ve played with businesses and the corporate and government sector in building up those important links. Ultimately this work is about closing the gap, and changing hearts and minds.
“I’d like to thank Supply Nation for the support and recognition.”
